Baroness Elizabeth is a retired judge, and was the first female Lord Justice of Appeal. Her most well-known legal work was as Deputy Coroner of the Queen’s Household and Assistant Deputy Coroner for Surrey, for the purpose of hearing the inquest into the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
In 2005 she advanced from DBE to the rank of GBE and in 2006, she was awarded a Peerage (as a People’s Peer) and joined the Crossbench Peers. Aside from Corpus, Elizabeth holds Honorary Fellowships at a number of other institutions, including Peterhouse Cambridge, King’s College London and St Hilda’s Oxford.
“I chose the only place in the House of Lords where photography is allowed. I am very proud to be an Honorary Fellow of Corpus because my father, two of my three brothers, my nephew and my son all went to Corpus and it feels a bit like the family college.”
