Guild Fellow
“My portrait outside the Taylor Library reflects my 15-year-long role liaising between Dr John C Taylor OBE and Corpus Christi College. I became a Guild Fellow through administering grants, bursaries and assisting with the installation of the Corpus Chronophage Clock. I am holding Teapot Trust literature, as I founded this mental health charity for children.
My ‘hidden’ item is my dress, which I made. The utter contentment sewing brings, combined with the problem-solving, encourages innovation in my work. I began making because my grandmother gifted me a sewing machine. The yellow screwdriver is part of its kit and reflects the importance of creativity, either as a pastime or within a life’s work.
Being a Guild Fellow is a huge privilege. It is a role I treasure, as I meet so many exceptionally interesting individuals and champion others to become the world’s best in their chosen fields.”
