Megan Ceronsky
(History, m.1998)
Megan Ceronsky spent a memorable year at Corpus during her undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas in the USA.
“My year at Corpus was magic from beginning to end. I found myself surrounded by kindred spirits—passionate, fun-loving, inquisitive, hilarious classmates who wanted to stay up to all hours discussing (or debating) the profound and the profane, and then play sports and study hard and have a cuppa and put on a play and travel and go to formal hall and hang out in the bar and go to Evensong—and then stay up all night talking again.
“Leaving the Corpus community was heart-breaking, as only a young person can have their heart truly broken by moving thousands of miles away from dear friends. Much to my surprise and delight, I wasn’t far away for long and treasure those friendships to this day.”
After leaving Corpus and completing her degree at Arkansas, Megan returned to the UK to study for a BA in Human Sciences and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management at Oxford, before heading back the US to complete a law degree at Yale.
Since then, Megan has pursued a career in environmental law and policy with a focus on climate change. Having started out in private practice, she moved to an NGO, before joining the energy and climate team in the Obama White House.
After a four-year period back in the NGO world, Megan joined the Biden Administration’s White House Counsel’s Office, where she serves as Special Assistant and Senior Counsel to the President.
“With a wedding (attended by a strong Corpus contingent), a toddler, work, and the pandemic, it has been too long since I’ve been back to visit Corpus, but I hope to remedy that soon.”
"My year at Corpus was magic from beginning to end."
